Yuxin "Myles" Liu at Ph.D. commencement

I am on the 2026–27 academic job market.

I am a postdoctoral scholar at UCLA, working with Professor Nader Sehatbakhsh in the SsysArch lab. I build systems that make digital content and autonomous machines verifiable: knowing where data, commands, and actions come from, and whether they can be trusted. My work began with digital provenance for visual media and now extends to trustworthy physical AI, where robots must verify what they sense and whom they obey before they act. At UCLA, I also help advise Ph.D. and M.S. students and draft proposals.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Irvine, advised by Professor Ardalan Amiri Sani, with a dissertation on Restoring Trust in Visual Media Using Provenance. I have also worked closely with Professor Gene Tsudik and Dr. Sharad Agarwal since my undergraduate years.

Beyond research, I enjoy anime, badminton, video games, skiing, and archery.
